3 ways to get traffic through blogs
Having your own blog will drive traffic to your website because you will obviously put your website link on it. How do you get yourself linked on other blogs?
Get yourself noticed in the blogging community. Here’s how.
Write your own kick-butt blog. Post on a regular basis, the more often the better. They don’t have to be long posts, but they should be quality entries. Have something to say, and say it well. Focus your posts on your niche subject. That way, you will be attracting traffic targetted for your website. Keep in mind that some of your readers have blogs of their own, and you want them to add your link to their blog roll. You increase the chances of that happening by having a well-written, informative blog.
List quality blogs on your own blog roll. I know, you’re thinking why should I send people to other blogs. It’s part of building a relationship with your reader. You are providing them with more good information, which is the reason why they visited your blog. Readers will see you as someone who is truly knowledgeable about the subject at hand and come back for more. Besides, other bloggers are more likely to take notice of you and link to your blog if you linked to them first.
Comment on blogs related to your website niche. Read other blogs and leave comments on them. Your comment is usually linked to a url of your choice which can be your website or blog url. Only comment if you have something to add to the conversation, though. Don’t just type in your website url and leave it at that. Don’t just say “good post” either. Those types of comments usually end up in the spam comments queue, and will make the blog author mad. You don’t want fellow bloggers mad at you. Look at commenting on other blogs as your chance to increase your reputation as an expert in your field. Besides, reading blogs is fun!
Bloggers are a supportive group of people. Do your part to be part of that special community, and they will pay you back in kind.
